Research under the COVID-19 condition:

Eastern Europe as a Global Area

The two-part panel discussion (45 minutes each) focuses on topical issues that have emerged in this turbulent year, and which will shape our work as researchers in the foreseeable future, namely 1) Research questions that arise because of the Covid-19 pandemic, and 2) Impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on practicalities of empirical research. The event starts at 7 pm (local time) and features Gwendolyn SASSE (ZOiS), Judith PALLOT (BASEES), Matthias MIDDELL (EEGA), Gabriele FREITAG (DGO), and Stefan ROHDEWALD (UL) as invited guests. It is moderated by Gemma PÖRZGEN (free journalist).

You are warmly invited to join the discussions, either in presence (at  Tagungslounge Leipzig); a limited number of seats are available), or online via live stream. For both, registering is unfortunately indispensable (via the form below), both for reasons of hygiene and distance regulations, and for receiving an access code to the stream. For those who cannot participate, a video will be made available at EEGA’s website after the event.

We are looking forward to welcoming some of you to the event.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, only a limited number of people can actually be present. The principle „First come, first serve“ applies. If you have registered for joining us on site but for some reason are unable to attend, please let us know so that another interested person can join us instead.
