On April 12, Hungary elects a new parliament. Viktor Orbán’s FIDESZ is trying to retain his majority, while Péter Magyar and the TISZA party have the best chances of ending his rule, which the Hungarian opposition has had in many years.
The political scientist Michael Zeller, an expert of the political Far Right in Europe and beyond, will discuss the elections regarding the contents of the campaign, the results and future perspectives for Hungary and its role in the European Union with Matthias Melcher.
The event is organized by the Bavarian regional group of the Junge DGO in cooperation with the Graduate School for East and Southeast European Studies.
