Declassification of Archival Documents and Providing Access to Them: The Experience of Ukraine (1991–2024)
The presentation is dedicated to the process of declassifying archival documents in Ukraine from the 1990s to the present day. Currently, access to declassified digitized materials is provided in the reading room of the Archive of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv, with restrictions on access to them being lifted in 2014–2015. The presentation will also cover the national databases of repressed and rehabilitated persons created in the country, as well as international projects implemented jointly with the countries of Central Asia, among others.
Invited expert: Dr. Serhii Kokin, senior researcher at the Institute of History of Ukraine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, former employee of the Archive of the Security Service of Ukraine (1996–2014), Kyiv.
