Ukrainian Resistance and the Future of Europe

In his lecture, Volodymyr Yermolenko, President of the PEN Club of Ukraine, will address several important topics: He will explore what the Russian invasion of Ukraine means in practice and provide insight into the experiences people are facing both in Kyiv and in frontline areas. Additionally, he will discuss the ways in which Ukrainian society is evolving in response to the war, and what the conflict means for Ukrainian identity and the fabric of its society. Furthermore, he will also highlight why the war poses a direct challenge to Europe and how it represents a manifestation of Russian imperialism.
